Privacy Policy and SMS/MMS Terms and Conditions
Point Pod Inc — United States
Effective date: October 7, 2026
This page explains how Point Pod Inc (“Point Pod,” “we,” “us” or “our”) handles personal information in connection with our United States website, sales and customer support. It also contains the terms for our customer-service SMS/MMS messaging service.
This policy applies to our US business and website at www.pointpod.com. Our Australian affiliate, Point Pod Pty Ltd, assists with administration and customer support as described below.
Part A — Privacy Policy
1. Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we collect:
- Contact information, including your name, business name, email address, telephone number, and billing and shipping addresses.
- Customer account information and records of orders, purchases, payments, deliveries, returns and warranty enquiries.
- Emails, support correspondence and, when our messaging service is available, SMS/MMS messages and messaging preferences.
- Photos and videos you provide in connection with product enquiries, installation, troubleshooting or warranty support.
- Call recordings when a call is recorded.
- Website usage information collected through cookies, analytics and advertising technologies. This may include IP addresses, browser and device information, pages visited and interactions with our website.
We receive information directly from you through our website, email, telephone and other communications. We also receive information connected with purchases through WooCommerce, Amazon and our service providers.
Please avoid sending sensitive information that is not necessary for your enquiry.
2. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Process orders and payments and arrange delivery.
- Manage customer accounts, invoices, accounting and sales tax.
- Respond to enquiries and provide product, installation and technical support.
- Handle returns, repairs and warranty matters.
- Communicate about individual orders and service requests.
- Operate, secure and improve our website and business systems.
- Understand website usage and measure advertising performance.
- Send occasional promotional emails, as described below.
- Maintain business records, resolve disputes and meet applicable legal obligations.
Our customer-service SMS/MMS service is separate from email marketing and website advertising. It is not used for promotional text messages.
3. Service providers and other disclosures
We use service providers to operate our business. Depending on the transaction or service, these include:
- WooCommerce and Amazon for online sales and related order information.
- Stripe for payment processing.
- Easyship, UPS, USPS, FedEx and other delivery providers for shipping.
- Xero and Avalara for accounting and sales tax.
- Panthur for website hosting.
- Mailchimp for email communications.
- Google Analytics, Google Ads and Meta/Facebook technologies for analytics and advertising.
- Telephone and messaging providers supporting our communications, including Twilio and Vodia-based systems when used.
These providers receive or process information relevant to their services. Some also handle information under their own privacy policies.
Staff in the United States and Australia, including staff of Point Pod Pty Ltd, may access customer information to assist Point Pod Inc with administration and customer support.
We may also disclose information where required or permitted by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect legal rights and address fraud or security concerns.
We do not sell or rent customer lists. Website advertising disclosures are explained separately below, and the specific protections for mobile information and messaging consent appear in Section 6.
4. Cookies, analytics and advertising
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics, Google Ads and the Meta/Facebook Pixel.
These technologies help us understand website activity, measure advertising results and support advertising. Advertising providers may collect information directly through our website and combine it with information from other sources.
We do not manually upload customer email or telephone lists to advertising platforms. This does not mean that our website’s advertising tools collect no visitor information.
Disclosures through advertising technologies may be considered a “sale,” “sharing” or processing for targeted advertising under some US privacy laws, even when no money is exchanged.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect website functions and may not prevent every type of tracking.
We have not yet verified how our website responds to Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signals. You can contact [email protected] with questions or privacy requests. This statement does not limit any rights you have under applicable law.
5. Email communications and call recordings
We send occasional promotional emails to existing customers through Mailchimp, generally once or twice a year.
You can unsubscribe using the unsubscribe link in a promotional email or by contacting [email protected]. We may still send non-promotional communications necessary to handle an order or support request.
Receiving our emails does not constitute consent to receive SMS/MMS messages.
Where we record a telephone call, we notify the caller before recording begins. Recordings relate to our customer communications and are handled under this policy. Contact us if you have questions about a recording or would prefer to communicate by email.
6. Mobile information and SMS/MMS privacy
Our planned SMS/MMS service is for customer support and individual order or service communications.
We do not sell, rent or share mobile information or SMS/MMS opt-in data and consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Messaging consent is not transferred to another business for its own messaging.
Information may be processed by necessary messaging, telecommunications and support providers to deliver messages, manage replies and carry out your instructions.
The SMS/MMS Terms and Conditions in Part B explain consent, charges, help and how to stop messages.
7. International access and processing
US customer information may be accessed or processed in the United States and Australia. Point Pod Pty Ltd assists our US business with administration and customer support.
Our service providers may also process information in other countries where they or their providers operate. Privacy laws in those locations may differ from the laws where you live.
8. Retention and security
We do not currently have a fixed retention schedule or routine deletion process for customer records. As a result, orders, invoices, correspondence, support photos and videos, messages and call recordings may be retained indefinitely unless deleted following a request or another business decision.
You can request deletion by contacting us. Some information may need to be retained for legal obligations, an ongoing transaction, warranty matters or legal claims, subject to applicable law.
We use individual staff accounts, access restrictions and two-factor authentication to help protect information. No electronic storage or communication system can be guaranteed completely secure.
9. Your choices, requests and complaints
You may contact us to:
- Ask about the personal information we hold about you.
- Request access to or correction of your information.
- Request deletion of your information.
- Change your communication preferences.
- Raise a privacy concern or complaint.
Depending on your location and the laws that apply, you may have additional rights, including rights concerning disclosures for targeted advertising or the sale or sharing of personal information.
Send requests to [email protected], preferably with the subject “Privacy request,” or write to our mailing address below. We may need information to verify your identity before providing account information or making certain changes.
We will consider requests under applicable law, including any relevant exceptions. Nothing in this policy limits rights that the law gives you.
10. Children and third-party services
Our website, products and services are intended for adults and trade customers, not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us.
Third-party websites, marketplaces and services may have their own privacy policies. This policy describes Point Pod Inc’s handling of information; it does not replace those third-party policies.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices or requirements change. The current version will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
Updating this policy does not itself give us permission to send marketing messages or expand an existing messaging consent.

Part B — SMS/MMS Terms and Conditions
1. Program and purpose
Program name: Point Pod Customer Service
Operator: Point Pod Inc
We are setting up our US customer-service text-messaging service. These terms apply when the service becomes available.
Messages may include responses to product and installation enquiries, troubleshooting assistance, relevant photos or videos, and updates about individual orders, deliveries, repairs and returns.
This service is not used for marketing or promotional texts.
2. Permission to receive messages
Before initiating SMS or MMS messages, we will obtain your permission to text you about your enquiry, order or service request. Permission may be provided verbally during a customer-service call. Following verbal agreement, we will record your permission and send a confirmation text.
If you text us first, we may respond to that enquiry. This does not automatically enroll you in unrelated or ongoing messaging.
Simply purchasing a product, providing a telephone number, calling us or emailing us does not by itself provide permission for ongoing text messages.
Text messaging is optional and is not a condition of purchasing products or receiving customer support. You may contact us by phone or email instead.
3. Message frequency and charges
The number of messages depends on your enquiry, order or support request. There is no fixed messaging schedule.
Message and data rates may apply. Contact your mobile provider for information about your plan and charges.
4. Stopping messages
To stop receiving texts, reply STOP to any message from us.
You may receive one final message confirming your opt-out. No further messages will be sent through this service unless you provide fresh permission.
You can also withdraw permission by contacting [email protected].
Opting out of texts does not cancel your order or prevent you from obtaining customer support through another channel.
5. Getting help
For messaging help, reply HELP to any message from us, or email [email protected].
Our customer-service number is +1 (214) 441-7505.
6. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy appears in Part A of this page and explains how we handle personal information.
We do not sell or share mobile information or SMS/MMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Necessary service providers may process this information to operate and deliver the messaging service.
7. Message delivery
Delivery depends on your mobile network, device and service availability. Messages may be delayed or may not arrive.
Carriers are not liable for any delayed or undelivered messages.
